Casago has added Idaho to its growing franchise network, launching a locally owned operation covering the greater Boise area and McCall. The franchise went live on March 1st with 120 homes and a team of 14 local employees.
The launch follows the same model Casago has repeated across markets since acquiring Vacasa for $130 million last year: identify a market, install a local owner-operator, and transition properties from centralized management to a franchise structure. Casago has now launched locally owned franchises in Northeast Florida and Coastal Georgia, Daytona Beach, Coeur d'Alene, San Diego, the Texas Gulf Coast, Big Bear, and now Idaho.
From Corporate Sales to Franchise Ownership
The franchise is led by Alex and Susan Pedigo. Alex’s career path is worth noting as it tracks the shift between Vacasa & Casago’s models. He started in resort lodging at a Colorado ski resort, then spent years at Vacasa in sales and business development. After Casago acquired Vacasa last year, Pedigo joined Casago's transition team to help convert Vacasa markets to the franchise model. That work led him to take ownership of the Idaho markets himself. Susan brings a marketing and business leadership background.
The Pedigo path, from Vacasa employee to Casago transition team to franchise owner, shows how the acquisition is playing out at the individual level.
