Hostaway Upgrades Its Direct Booking Website Builder

Booking Website Pro replaces Hostaway's basic site builder with improved SEO and marketing tools

Hostaway has launched Booking Website Pro, an upgrade to the basic website builder already included in its property management platform. The updated tool gives property managers more control over how their direct booking site looks and performs, with new options for customization, search optimization, and guest marketing.

Hostaway, which reached a $1 billion valuation last year, is positioning the upgrade as a way for operators to reduce their reliance on OTAs and capture more bookings directly.

What the Upgrade Includes

The biggest change is a drag-and-drop editor that lets property managers customize their site without writing code. Hostaway has added mobile-first templates designed for vacation rentals, with built-in availability search, booking calls-to-action, and widgets that sync with the PMS.

The embedded booking engine pulls real-time availability and pricing from Hostaway, so guests can search dates and book directly with instant confirmation and secure payment processing.

On the marketing side, Booking Website Pro includes tools for running email campaigns, displaying guest reviews, capturing leads, and offering promo codes. A built-in blog lets operators publish local guides or property updates to attract organic search traffic.

For search visibility, the platform uses AI to generate page headlines, descriptions, meta titles, and image alt text. An SEO dashboard shows what's performing and where to improve. The tool is free to build with; operators pay when they publish.

Who This Is For

For Hostaway users who've been running without a direct booking site, or working with the platform's basic version, this is a meaningful step up. It bundles website design, content creation, and guest marketing into one place without requiring a separate tool.

The timing tracks with a broader shift toward direct channels. Direct booking revenue rose 91% in 2025, and repeat guest analysis shows operators are still losing significant revenue to OTA commissions on guests they've already hosted. Having a functional direct booking site is one piece of addressing that.
