Recently I've upgraded my Idologic reseller account to an Idologic Managed Dedicated Server.
I've learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for; this is especially true with a service like web hosting. I'm not going to go into how great Idologic has been, you can read my other past reviews for that.
This post is dealing with something that you don't always learn about a host in your first few months, hardware failures. Most everyone will experience this at one point or another, that is understood. The thing that seperates hosts is how they deal with it.
This is what happened.
On August 10th my server went down for a reason I was unaware of. I did all of the standard tests.. multiple locations/by dns/by ip/etc.. Nothing seemed to be working.
So I open up a ticket to have it looked at. Damiaan (he's awesome!) replied with what he thought the problem was. He rebooted the server and began to further inspect the server logs. He made some changes to the server's DNS configuration (that's what he thought the problem was) and everything seemed fine.
The next day, the same sort of thing happened. I opened a ticket to which Damiaan jumped right on. He had someone at the datacenter take a look at it. Apparently the server was turned off when the tech got to it, this seemed to be a problem with the fans and server overheating. Those were replaced promptly and once again, everything seemed fine.
Yesterday, I went into CPanel and only half of the page was loading. I opened a ticket about it and Damiaan once again jumped right on it. He got to the server and strangely enough when he went to login, the server was off. Upon further inspection, the box's kernel panic'd. He replies to my ticket to keep me updated and tells me the steps he's going to take.
He had the tech replace the RAM, unfortunately this wasn't the problem. At this point the PSU was swapped as well. (This seems to have been the problem, because I haven't had any problems since).
So, what was the point of this long drawn out story?
The point is that now, more than ever, I want to stay with Idologic. I was hesitant about what kind of support I would receive after moving to my own server, but as expected, Idologic has been just as fantastic when it comes to my server.
Should another problem arise I've seen first hand that they know how to take care of problems.
Time and time again Idologic has proven to me that they have all of the necessary ingredients to be a superior hosting company.
I was curious to see if their Dedicated Server customer support was up-to-part with their Reseller Account customer support and I can confidently say that it is.
I'm just a very very pleased customer.

I can't believe it's been almost 6 month since I've had my site hosted with Idologic.
Back in December I had gotten rid of my dedicated server because I didn't need a $100+/month server for just a few sites. I also wanted more than just a shared hosting plan. Mostly because I wanted to be able to control my dns; a reseller account seemed like a good option.
From the beggining I was pretty unsure who to go with. There were a lot of reputable hosting companies to choose from. I came across a review of Idologic and I was really impressed with the way they treated their customers.
I decided to give them a shot but I didn't see any plans that suited my needs. I only needed a few sites hosted, so a $30 reseller account was still overkill.
I private messaged idologic_dh who responded with a very reasonable custom quote. I remember I signed up on a Friday or Saturday but they told me they had a new server coming Monday. They said if I didn't want to wait then I could go ahead and be put on a server. I told them it wasn't a big deal to wait, so on Monday I had my account.
The next few months I experienced 100% uptime. The staff is excellent and it definately shows that they care about their company the way they take care of their customers.
On April 26th there was a problem at the datacenter which you can read about in my other reviews.
The thing I really really like about Idologic is they keep their customers informed. They update you every step of the way. I recieve e-mails about security updates, server problems, network problems and everything else related to the hosting.
I've e-mailed them several times about specific questions I had regarding installed packages and VirtualHost entries to the HTTP configuration file all of which they handled very quickly and professionaly.
Looking back 6 months ago I am really happy that I decided to go with Idologic because they have turned out to be a great hosting company.
If you couldn't tell by the review, I rate every category of their service a 10. A truly superb hosting company.
Incase anyone wants to know, both of my sites are hosted with them if you want whois info. And no I have no affiliation with them, I am just a very, very satisfied customer. Great job Idologic, here's to another great 6 months

I've been developing websites since 1996 and reselling hosting since 2000, I have NEVER had a hosting company that has treated me so fairly and so well till I moved to Idologic. The move happened in December 2003 because our host at the time dzones.com had experienced their third major failure of the year and at Christmas when many of my clients need their site to be running to meet yearly revenue goals. Moving hosts is never fun but Jeff was a great help as was Damiaan who was actually on holiday at the time, but STILL helped us. I am so completely thrilled to have found a reliable host who cares when things aren't perfect, which luckily doesn't happen often at all. If you're looking for a reseller account or a dedicated server, you could not possibly go wrong by trusting idologic.com.
I've hosted or admin'd sites with verio.com, 1and1.com, dzones.com, addr.com, interland.com and lunarpages.com and they all pale in comparison to Idologic. I am so thankful to have found then when I needed them most, and even more thankful that they answered my call for help!

I've been testing Idologic's services recently and decided to write a review of their services.
Currently I am hosting reseller accounts at Dathorn, Bluewho, and UnitedHosting and have had acounts with others. I keep a updated list of resellers that I believe are some of the best (in my needs and wants) and I sometimes post that list here when Newbies or others ask the "which provider should I choose" post.
I talked to Jeff and his support people and found they are very knowledgeable about their product and services. I repeated asked "newbie" and "time consuming" questions that I knew the answer to already on purpose at their support desk and found that they not only answered each questions correctly, they didnt have any attitude towards me, gave me advice on how to prevent and why things happen on the server (which I may add i learned more from them on this then from other resellers), and answered all those tickets in under 30 minutes each time. I posted those questions at different hours during the day and for several days at a time.
It was refreshing to see someone be able to answer my tickets in a timely manner at any hour and any day, and not care that I was a "newbie" and they were willing to help me on every issue. The idea of "Teach a man to fish, not just give him a fish" on their support issues is truely something missing with many host today that just want to close your ticket with a simple directive answer.
Set up was fast as well, under 15 minutes and no hassle or wait to join.
I viewed their presale and supprt forum to ensure it wasnt just me they were trying to satisfy.. all questions in those forums answered in the same mannerism as all of mine.
I uploaded several large zips, and archives I have on my home computer and found their upload speeds very fast and had no trouble with the server or lost files or timeouts.
It was great to see they offer managed dedicated server solutions as well. Knowing I will soon outgrow my large reseller account it is comfortable to know I wont have to now keep and manage a "dedicated provider listing" like I do for resellers currently as I can simply have them move me into a dedicated unit when ready.
I even tested the Idologic team here at WHT, I pm'd Jeff with support questions through WHT about a problem I have with a reseller account at ANOTHER provider and Jeff was able to respond quickly with a solution that help more than the orig. provider offered! Thats dedication for your resellers, not just for his benefit, but for his resellers in general.
Amazingly, I stumbled across some pre-sales tickets in my help desk account I had forgot about from months ago when I first considered Idologic but passed on them then for a better pricing option at another reseller. The tickets were there with my current support tickets and I thought "these guys must be great with records" I mean why woudl you keep pre sales tickets from a customer that went else where and hasnt talked to you in months? If they keep records that well, I have no problem handing over my confidential information to them any time.
I tried to find a flaw so I could expose it, but I never could on things that matter the most. The service was extremely helpful, the procedures on how they handle things was top notch, and I couldnt find any exploits or holes in their server I was on. Uptime and speed was great and things were done in a manner that Jeff ensured nothing was left untouched after dealing with support.
These guys even installed a certain proxy script I havent had anyone before install except one other provider that allows me access to WHM and Cpanel from behind a firewall. They even improved on it and set it up more securely for me and let me use 2 ips for this script for free... truely something that impressed the sh*t out of me.
Overall, These guys are top notch...
I am for sure recommending them and placing them first on my list of "sure bet" reseller providers.

I recieved my recurring payment reminder the other day saying that my next payment was due shortly. I thought to myself "wow, it's already been a month?".
Checking back I realized that it had and I decided to share my wonderful experience.
A few things that people always ask when reviewing so:

I started out pm'ing a staff member for a custom quote and he replied with a very fair offer. I had heard great things about idologic so I decided to give them a try.
My order was delayed for a day because they were setting up a new server and figured I would want to be on a new one, which was correct. I was in no hurry, so everything was fine.
For the past two weeks the alerta reports they send their customers have had 100% uptime. The first two weeks the server I'm on wasn't listed because it was new (I assume?) but all their other servers had 100% uptime and I hadn't noticed any outages.
Everything up to this point was amazing, everything was super fast, support was EXCELLENT. I just submitted a ticket a few minutes ago.

If I do say so myself, 1 minute and 19 second reply time I'd take any day of the week. Though not all tickets have been answered in 1 minute (lots require more research) but they are always answered very quicky and in a very professional manner.
In the first week I was hosted there I was having an issue with my dns and lots of bandwidth was being used because of zone files that were being requested but not there.
They immediately noticed this and sent an e-mail to me making me aware of the situation. The problem was fixed and they opted to not count the bandwidth used against my account. (Account has 15gb of bandwidth, and the dns problem was eating upwards of 21+).
I'd hate to say that Idologic offers it all, but so far they have. Their pricing is very competitive and the support is the best I've ever had. I almost feel like I'm not paying them enough after paying so much more from other people and recieving so much less.
Anyway, I know this is only a 1 month review, but it has been an awesome month.
