THEY ARE AWOL. PHONES DON'T WORK, EMAIL DOESN'T WORK, SUPPORT SYSTEM IS GONE, EVEN THEIR WEBSITE IS GONE. BASICALLY YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN AND THEY LEFT WITHOUT SAYING A WORD.

1planhost have to be the worst host I've ever had the misfortune to use. I'm now out of their clutches thank God, although they STILL haven't pro-rata refunded me, and I suspect I'll have to file a dispute with Paypal to get my money back.

I have been working with 8 companies so far and this one is far away the worst. I left because technical support could not solve an issue with php script, (they admitted that they have no idea about scripting). The issue was not my fault because my site was working fine and suddenly one day stopped. I was trying to make them look into my problem and they were replying with stupid questions blaming me. The funniest thing they mentioned was that there was a broken link on my site and that was causing everything!
Finally when I told them I wanted to leave they wanted to charge me 80$ to get my domain back!
This is what I call blackmail!!
I think that when you come across them you should run away!!!!

We also had some serious 1Planhost problems. Many of our websites were down for days! We have sinced moved our hosting accounts to DriveThruWebHosting.com and it has been excellent ever since - they even helped us get control of our domain name.

Our site has been messed up since the April 15, 2006 a fiasco of a server migration or "Black Saturday" as I call it now. Countless emails, trouble tickets, phone calls and messages and chat messages left (because no chat is available.) I have seriously called everyday multiple times a day and left messages. I gave up on chat several days ago.
I did receive an email back today from a trouble ticket. I guess I will have to wait 4 more weeks for another maybe fix or else move the site. We have always had on and off trouble with email over the past 4 year. Sometimes it may take up to a day for an email with an attachment to be received by a recipient but before this new company took over, a simple email or support ticket could temporarily solve our problem. I am beyond aggravated with them at this point and will be pulling all accounts with them. I hope that my message helps others avoid the headaches and heartaches I have endured over the past 4 weeks.
