This hosting provider has very poor customer service, questionable technical skills, a bad history of uptime (from personal observation, like when our site went down during primetime). I would be surprised if they upgraded their software. The security doesn't look too hot and they're not firewalling enough ports. If 4d only offers sql, ftp, and http/s (NO SSH!) then why are so many ports open.
The biggest problem i have with them is the fact that I submitted a request to cancel my account and never received a reply.
If I wouldn't have changed my CC info their automatic system would have probably billed me again, despite my cancelling service.

I had few problems with 4D until I wanted to transfer my domain to another host. It has now been 2 weeks since the first of SEVERAL email have been sent about the issue, with no response. I have since closed my account with them, but it seems like they don't give a stuff!! DO NOT USE THESE RIP-OFF MERCHANTS!!!!!

I have been using 4dwebhosting for over 5 years. I have three sites currently being hosted with them. Unless things change they will be the last until I can move them. For the most part it has been a positive experience BUT their billing and customer service departments need an overhaul. If you opt for the annual billing and you give them a credit card to bill to, they will bill thru 2checkout.com annually, automatically and without checking with you at all. You get an email notice (from 2checkout.com) you have been billed, but no information regarding what domain name for which you have been billed. It's the worst invoice I've ever seen. Very little information and no way to backtrack it, echoing others thoughts on poor customer service in this regard. BTW a phone support line would be handy folks! The impersonal touch is out of date and not a customer friendly solution. NO PHONE SUPPORT=BAD

I've had zero issues with 4D thus far and am very pleased with their prompt attention to server issues, of which there has been only one since I signed up with them and it was resolved within an expediant time frame.

I will like to add to my review that, after 12 days of mixed communication. 4dwebhosting, did resolve my issues. and I was told it was a billing error. Since I am going to give the 4dwebhosting a chance, they do have wonderful rates, and service is always up, and I've had no issues other then slow ticket response, and a billing issue. I'll update my review again.
